- How to Install Complete Program Deleter for Windows
-
- To install CPD, simply put all the files that come with the program
- (WCPD.EXE, WCPD.WRI, WCPDREG.TXT, etc.) in your Windows directory.
- DO NOT create a separate directory for these files or put them in
- another directory. Windows Complete Program Deleter is designed to
- operate from the Windows directory. The only exception is that you
- can, if you prefer, put the QPRO200.DLL file in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
- subdirectory instead, since this subdirectory is specifically designed to
- hold support files like this. Once you have these files in the proper
- directory, run Windows.
- If you are using Windows 3.1, select New from Program Manager's Files
- menu. When it asks if you are installing a program group or program item,
- select Program Group and click on the Ok button. On the next windows,
- ignore the "Description" box and click on the "Group File" box. Type WCPD
- and then click on the Ok button. The Complete Program Deleter group will
- be installed.
- If you are using Windows 95, double-click on the My Computer icon and
- then double-click on the icon for your boot drive (C). Select your
- Windows folder from the window that appears. Find the WCPD icons. You
- now have several choices. You can drag the program icon to either the
- blank area of your screen or to the Start button. The program icon is
- the one that is labelled WCPD and has a picture of an eraser erasing a
- disk. A better option is to double-click on the WCPD group icon. This
- icon is labelled WCPD also and is usually immediately after the program
- icon. Double-clicking on this icon will put the entire WCPD group on
- your screen, giving you access to the program, the instruction manual,
- and the very important registration form <g>.
- Note: This program requires that the library VBRUN200.DLL be in either
- the WINDOWS or WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. This is a common Windows library
- available from many sources, such as CompuServe, GEnie, America Online,
- or MicroSoft. Because it is so widely available and is a rather large
- file, it may not be included in the WCPD archive that you receive. If you
- cannot find it elsewhere, you can download it from the Leithauser Research
- Web site at
